In short: Trading Escalator collects only the data needed to deliver alert escalation services. We never access your brokerage accounts, we never sell your personal data, and we give you full control over what we collect.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account and use Trading Escalator, you may provide the following information:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
  • Alert Preferences: Custom escalation rules including symbol filters, timeframe preferences, direction filters, tier levels, and session window settings.
  • Notification Settings: Push notification tokens, phone number (for SMS and call escalation), quiet hours configuration, and escalation tier preferences.
  • Integration Configuration: Broker deep link URLs (e.g., thinkorswim links), webhook endpoint URLs for Discord, Slack, or custom services.
  • Subscription and Billing Information: Payment data is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the app, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
  • Usage Analytics: Alert acknowledgment rates, average response times, alerts by symbol, escalation tier usage, and feature interaction data.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, app version, and crash reports.

What We Do NOT Collect: Trading Escalator does not access your brokerage accounts, trading data, portfolio holdings, account balances, or any financial account credentials. Broker deep links are stored locally on your device and used solely to open your preferred trading platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver, maintain, and improve the Trading Escalator service, including alert routing, escalation logic, and notification delivery.
  • Process escalation events through push notifications, SMS messages, and phone calls according to your configured rules.
  • Send webhook acknowledgment payloads to your configured Discord, Slack, or custom endpoints.
  • Generate analytics dashboards showing your acknowledgment rate, response times, and alert history.
  • Process subscription payments and manage your account status.
  • Send service-related communications such as account verification, billing confirmations, and critical security alerts.
  • Diagnose technical issues, prevent fraud, and ensure platform security.
  • Improve our services through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party providers for SMS delivery, voice calls, push notifications, payment processing, cloud hosting, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to perform services on our behalf.
  • Webhook Endpoints: When you configure webhook integrations, Trading Escalator sends acknowledgment data to the endpoints you specify. You control which endpoints receive this data.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Alert history and analytics data are retained for up to 12 months by default, though you may delete this data at any time from within the app.

When you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest, secure authentication protocols, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Contract Performance: Processing necessary to deliver the Trading Escalator service you subscribed to, including alert delivery, escalation, and analytics.

  • Consent: Processing for optional features such as marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
